On the opening night of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift made history by setting a new record for the most attended female concert in the United States with over 69,000 people in attendance.

The concert was held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on April 30, 2022. Swift’s previous record was set in 2018, with an audience of 58,000 during her Reputation Stadium Tour.

The previous record of nearly 63,000 attendees was held by Madonna for her 1987 performance at Anaheim Stadium, which had stood for over three decades.

Swift’s achievement is particularly notable considering it was accomplished in a single night, as opposed to a series of shows.

The concert showcased Swift’s new album, “Red (Taylor’s Version),” as well as some of her greatest hits.

Swift’s Eras Tour is scheduled to run through October 2022, with stops throughout the United States and Europe.
