A big win for giant pandas and wildlife conservation!
Giant pandas are making an incredible comeback! Once classified as Endangered, these iconic animals are now listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, with approximately 1,900 thriving in the wild.
Thanks to dedicated conservation efforts, China has established 67 panda reserves, safeguarding nearly two-thirds of the wild population and helping panda numbers rise by 17% over a decade.
But the journey doesn’t end here. Climate change continues to threaten their vital bamboo habitats, making ongoing protection more important than ever.
