A dog breeder whose pit bulls killed his grandmother in 2020 has been hospitalized after being attacked by his own dogs on Monday morning.

Andre Galea, who made headlines for the tragic incident last year, was reportedly attacked outside his residence in Msida.

Neighbors heard screaming and cries for help around 1.30am and witnessed the dogs viciously biting him.

A dog, believed to be a pitbull, was biting Galea and another brown dog was seen running around in the street, according to an eyewitness.

The white dog seemed to be attacking Galea’s arms, face, and hands, while he attempted to protect himself. Galea sought safety on the roof of a parked car after trying to fight off the dogs, even kicking one of them in the face while attempting to escape.
