A Tennessee resident has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the Guinness World Record for sporting the world’s longest mullet, measuring an astounding 172cm (5.6 feet) in length, nearly equivalent to the average height of an adult male.

Tami Manis, hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, embarked on her journey to cultivate this extraordinary mane back in the 1980s, drawing inspiration from a ‘rat-tail’ hairstyle featured in the music video for the song ‘Voices Carry’ by the American band Lil Tuesday. Remarkably, she has refrained from trimming her hair since February 9, 1990.
