Sliema Properties Are The Most Expensive To Rent

According to the Housing Authority, Sliema is the priciest area for renting apartments😨

 

 

 

On average, tenants pay €1,218 and €1,439 per month for two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, respectively.

 

The report, which analyzed registered contracts until 2022, aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the private rental market. In the Northern Harbour region, Saint Julian’s is the second most expensive locality, with an average monthly rent of €1,141 for two-bedroom apartments.

 

Gozo remains the most affordable region for renters, with average monthly rents of €562 and €674 for two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, respectively. Among all localities, Munxar is the least expensive option, with an average monthly rent of €495 for a two-bedroom apartment.

 

In the Northern region, Naxxar is the priciest locality for tenants, with average rents of €904 and €1,068 for two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments, respectively. Mosta follows as the second most costly area for renters, followed by Mellieħa and Saint Paul’s Bay.

 

In the southern part of Malta, Fgura offers the cheapest two-bedroom apartments, with an average monthly rent of €554. Paola (€581) and Żabbar (€646) are the next affordable options. On the other hand, Marsascala (€716) tops the list as the most expensive region for renting two-bedroom apartments, followed by Żurrieq (€666) and Birżebbuġa (€597).
