Sabrina Carpenter wowed fans with her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards tonight, leaving one moment in particular that had everyone talking.

The singer, who hit the stage at UBS Arena on September 11, was both a nominee and performer. Carpenter, known for her song “Please Please Please,” was up for several awards, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Espresso,” along with Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Editing, and Best Art Direction.

She performed a trio of songs from her latest album Short n’ Sweet, and during her newest single “Taste,” surprised the audience with a kiss shared with a dancer dressed as an alien.
