Robert Downey Jr. won his first Oscar for playing Lewis Strauss in the movie “Oppenheimer.”

 The movie got 13 nominations, including one for Best Picture. Cillian Murphy, who acts in the movie too, is up for Best Actor.

This Oscar win is a big deal for Downey because he also won prizes at the Golden Globes, BAFTA, and SAG Awards earlier in the year.
