A photographer from the UK has captured the image of a face-shaped breaking wave.

Ian Sproat was reviewing the 4,000 pictures he had taken during a 12-hour shoot in Sunderland when he stumbled upon this shot.

Though the photographer admits that it is not the most well-composed picture, he was still pleased with the outcome.
