Over 60+ Event Planned For This Year’s Notte Bianca

Over 60 events and 250 artists set for a memorable night 🤩

 

 

The program for Notte Bianca 2023, happening on Saturday, October 7th, was launched by Owen Bonnici, the Minister for National Heritage, the Arts, and Local Government. Organized by Festivals Malta, Notte Bianca promises a diverse showcase of performing and visual arts, featuring both local and international talent.

Minister Bonnici shared that this year’s Notte Bianca will feature more than 60 activities with over 250 artists, the majority being local talents. He emphasized the event’s significance as an ongoing investment in the cultural sector, making it more accessible to both creatives and the Maltese society.

Aaron Zahra, Chairman of Festivals Malta, described how Notte Bianca transforms Valletta into a cultural evening filled with music, theatre, dance, top-tier installations, and family-friendly educational activities. He emphasized the event’s role in promoting Malta as a cultural destination, highlighting the introduction of an interactive map on the festival’s website to help attendees find specific events.

Mr. Zahra concluded by noting Festivals Malta’s commitment to improving accessibility and organization while continually elevating the festival experience.

Frans Agius, CEO of Festivals Malta, depicted Notte Bianca as a colourful celebration of art and culture in Valletta, where local and international artists display their talents throughout the capital. He highlighted collaborations with state entities, NGOs, and other organizations contributing through original productions with diverse social and informative themes.

Notte Bianca’s Artistic Director, Antoine Farrugia, revealed that this year will feature over 60 diverse projects across seven artistic routes, promising a spectacular showcase. He also announced the main stage artists for this year: AIDAN, Ivan Grech & Band, and the popular Italian band Le Vibrazioni. Mr. Farrugia encouraged families and arts, culture, and music enthusiasts to join in the celebration.
