Neil Agius Will Be Doing A 160km Open-Water Swim

Neil Agius, Malta’s ultra-endurance swimming champion, has just revealed his next daring challenge: a world-first 100-mile open water swim from Mallorca to Ibiza.

 

 

Agius will embark on his incredible feat by commencing his swim from Mallorca, then navigating the west coast of Ibiza before finishing on the eastern coast, covering around 160 kilometres in total.

Announcing his incredible feat at the Palma International Boat Show & Superyacht Village, Agius stated that the swim is not only about setting a world record but more importantly, about highlighting the issue of pollution in the seas and oceans.

 

The 100 Mile Swim is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2023 during a brief weather window that opens at the end of June.
