Set against the stunning backdrop of the island of Gozo, I Have A Dream is a heartwarming jukebox musical that follows Julia, a young bride-to-be. On the night before her wedding, Julia confesses her wish to have her father walk her down the aisle, except she has no idea who he is. After uncovering her mother Margerita’s old diary, she discovers three possible candidates: Sam, Marco, and Harry. Without telling her mother, Julia invites all three men to the island.
As the past comes knocking, Margerita is forced to face old memories, with the support of her best friends and former bandmates, The Three Margeritas. What unfolds is a lively, chaotic, and hilarious journey filled with self-discovery, rekindled romance, and the power of friendship. Set to ABBA’s iconic hits, the story reminds us that family isn’t just about blood, it’s about the people who show up for you. A high-energy celebration of love in all its forms.
Brought to the stage by the talented students of Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, Naxxar, with the guidance of their dedicated teachers, this production is suitable for all ages and runs for approximately 2 hours, excluding the interval.
