In a groundbreaking move, Forest Green Rovers has etched a new chapter in football history by appointing Hannah Dingley as the caretaker manager of their first team. Dingley, the head of the club’s academy, has shattered glass ceilings by becoming the first woman to lead a professional men’s team in English football.

Joining the League Two club in 2019 to oversee the academy, Dingley’s visionary approach also led to the establishment of the club’s girls academy, which made its debut in 2021.
