Twitter’s rebranding journey has taken a significant step forward as Elon Musk, the platform’s owner, revealed the new logo – a striking “minimalist art deco” ‘X’. While Musk hinted that the design might undergo further refinement, Twitter’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, enthusiastically confirmed the choice, tweeting, “X is here! Let’s do this.” Musk had engaged his massive following of 149 million followers, seeking design ideas, and ultimately settled on the logo he had previously hinted at through a captivating flickering video on his Twitter feed.
This “X” logo holds special significance for Musk, as he envisions it to be part of an “everything app” that he plans to launch, with Twitter likely serving as the platform for its realization. In the lead-up to his acquisition of Twitter, Musk referred to the social media platform as a catalyst in creating “X, the everything app.”
