Shooting Victim Says That Kim K’s Skims Saved Her Life

Who needs body armour when you have Skims? 😅

 
A 22-year-old Kansas City resident, Angelina Wiley, survived a mass shooting earlier this year and shared her story on TikTok. The video went viral with over 1.4 million views, and fellow TikTokers tagged Kim Kardashian, the 42-year-old founder of Skims, hoping she would see it.
 
In her Instagram Story on July 14, Kardashian acknowledged the TikTok and its significance. In the clip, Wiley credits Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line, Skims, with saving her life during the shooting. Wiley explained that she had been shot four times on New Year’s Day, and she attributes her survival to the Skims shaping bodysuit she was wearing under her dress. The tightness of the bodysuit prevented her from bleeding out and acted like body armor for women. Jokingly, Wiley expressed her intention to buy more Skims products and wear them every day for added protection.
