The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) has officially launched the 2024-2025 academic year, welcoming a record number of new students👏

The year began on 27th September with Freshers’ activities and induction sessions, followed by an Opening Ceremony on 30th September to mark the start of lectures.

This year, ITS has seen a significant 17% increase in new applications compared to the previous year, with growth across all academic levels. Programmes such as events management, travel and tourism, international hospitality management, culinary arts, climate-friendly travel, and tourist guiding experienced a notable rise in student numbers.

Foundation and Certificate courses saw strong growth, with the Travel and Tourism Certificate programme nearly doubling its intake, enrolling 31 students. The Higher National Diploma in Tourist Guiding also saw a substantial increase, with 60 students enrolling, up by over 20 from last year.
