A survey of almost 1,000 US women revealed that having dogs in bed reduced distractions and increased feelings of security and comfort.
“We found that women commonly rate dogs as better bed partners than cats and human partners and report that their dogs enhance their sleep quality.” – lead researcher Christy Hoffman.

Additionally, those who own dogs tend to follow earlier sleep habits than people who only own cats.
