Known online as “The Man Who Will Definitely Resign,” he gained popularity on social media for his extreme saving strategies. After amassing 135 million yen (approximately €843,000), he retired earlier this year and authored a book on frugality, which provided him with additional income.
However, the recent depreciation of the yen has sharply reduced his savings, leaving him to question the worth of his efforts. “If the yen keeps depreciating, I’ll never reach financial freedom.
