Help Find Missing Dog Ruby Who Got Stolen In Għarb

Please share to help find Ruby 🙏

A family is desperately seeking their missing dog, Ruby, and is offering a €2,000 reward for her safe return amid growing concerns that she may have been stolen.

Ruby, a small black female Staffie, went missing on July 15 from a dog daycare in Għarb while her owners, Emily Biesmans and Amir Chalaby, were abroad at the time. The family, along with their neighbors, has been tirelessly searching the countryside, worried about the extreme heat.

Emily and Amir believe that Ruby was likely stolen and might have been taken to Malta. Ruby was adopted from Noah’s Ark three years ago and is microchipped, well-behaved, and responds promptly to her name. She is distinguishable by her missing left ear and a visible scar on her chin.

The family described Ruby’s friendly nature, noting that she wags her tail uncontrollably at the mention of her name and adores belly rubs. They pleaded with anyone who may have found Ruby to treat her kindly and return her to a safe place. They emphasized that they will not pursue any legal action, only wanting their beloved pet back home.

The dog daycare owner reported the incident to Gozo SPCA on July 15, and the police have confirmed the filing of the report. The search efforts have received support from Gozo SPCA, Malta Animal Welfare, and Malta Microchipping Agency.

If anyone has seen Ruby or has information about her whereabouts, they are urged to contact Emily and Amir on  7924 3930, 9930 8606 or 0032 4993 16006. The reward of €2,000 is being offered to anyone who finds Ruby or facilitates her return to her worried owners.
