Father and daughter pilots have achieved their dream of co-piloting a flight together!

According to BBC News, Brian and Becky Morgan, both employed by Jet2.com in Colchester, achieved this milestone by flying together on a commercial journey from London Stansted Airport to Tenerife.

Becky followed in her father’s footsteps and successfully completed the airline’s pilot apprentice program, and has already undertaken over 170 flights to various European destinations. Brian Morgan, became a pilot in 2016 and was later promoted to captain after completing his command upgrade, stated that his daughter drew inspiration from his own journey.

Morgan said “It was a fantastic experience to operate a flight with my daughter, Becky. We finally had the chance to fly together on a full flight from London Stansted to Tenerife, which not only provided a wonderful day for our passengers but also marked a significant occasion for us”. He added, “I’ve always encouraged Becky to pursue her career passions. Naturally, when I began my flight training, Becky also developed an interest. So, when she expressed her desire to build a career in aviation as a pilot, I was overjoyed”.

The two hope to get the opportunity to fly together again in the near future.
