Celebrate 100 Years Of Movie Magic In Malta With ‘Lejla Ma’ Tal-Films’

Lejla ma’ tal-Films is a one-of-a-kind experience celebrating 100 years of filmmaking in Malta and the incredible work of local film crews behind the scenes. The event takes place on Saturday, 14th June, at Fort Ricasoli, starting from 6PM onwards. Throughout the evening, the Fort will come alive with music, storytelling, and a special screening of Gladiator — shown in the very place where the film’s Roman Colosseum was built.

The night will feature live concerts with music from films shot in Malta, where the audience will even get a chance to conduct the orchestra, as well as two performances showcasing the passion Maltese people have for this historic site.

The highlight of the evening will be an open-air screening of Gladiator, free and open to all — no tickets or registration required — giving everyone the chance to relive the story of Maximus and Commodus. In addition to the films and music, there will be food and entertainment for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes to fully enjoy the space. Join us for a magical night celebrating a century of cinema on our islands!
