Meet Mavis Paterson who embarked on a journey around the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland, covering over 1,000 miles in the process, on her 85th birthday for cancer awareness.

Her journey was about more than just miles; it was a heartfelt tribute to her three beloved adult children, lost within four short years. 

Mavis kicked off her adventure in May, starting from the enchanting Mull of Galloway, then venturing north, tracing the scenic Scottish coastline, and finally returning to the Mull of Galloway. Her journey wasn’t just about personal achievement; it was also a remarkable fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising nearly £60,000 to support those in need. 

A true inspiration, Granny Mave’s spirit and determination show that age is just a number, and love can conquer all.  Let’s all be inspired by her incredible journey!
