1 Y/O Named Youngest Male Painter In The World

This 1 year-old has more talent than me😂

Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah has been named as the youngest male painter in the world, hitting this milestone at just one year and 152 days old. “He’s already got an eye for color combinations,” said his mom, Chantelle Kuukua Eghan, who herself has been painting for eight years. Chantelle noticed Ace-Liam’s talent when he was just six months old.

Chantelle says her son’s work is reminiscent of Jackson Pollock’s style.

Ace-Liam was officially recognized last Monday, after a five-month wait for Guinness World Records (GWR) to confirm their record attempt. “When I opened the email, I just broke down and thanked God,” Chantelle shared with the BBC.

To snag the record, GWR required Ace-Liam to have his work shown in a professional public exhibition and to sell his pieces. They also needed proof that his art was up to professional standards and created by him alone. His work was displayed at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra from December to early January, where he sold nine out of the ten pieces on show.

He has sold 15 paintings so far and is gearing up for an upcoming auction.

Ace-Liam’s artistic journey began quite by accident. Chantelle, a single mom, needed a way to keep him entertained while working on a commission for Miss Universe 2023. With a stroke of genius, she spread a canvas on the floor, splashed some paint on it, and let him play. “He was mesmerized by the bright colors,” she said with a smile. His first masterpiece was aptly named “The Crawl.”

Ace-Liam’s work is all about bright colors and acrylic paints, resulting in lively abstract images. “His paintings reflect a curiosity and a desire to discover,” Chantelle said.

Chantelle dreams of getting Ace-Liam an international scholarship to further develop his talent. “I want to inspire parents to nurture their kids’ talents from an early age,” she said.
