The ETA requirement is expected to extend to citizens of the European Union by the end of 2024.

The system will be similar to the American ESTA and will require applicants to answer questions online before awaiting a decision. The cost of an ETA is not yet known but is estimated to be around €10 and will remain valid for up to six months for tourism, work, or study purposes.

Starting November 15th, the UK will require visitors from Qatar to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland.

By February 22nd, citizens from several additional countries including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Jordan will also need an ETA.
