At the Golden Bee Awards, concluding the Mediterrane Film Festival, Malta Film Commissioner Johann Grech announced his ambitious plan to double the film industry’s economic contribution to Malta.

He aims to create a world-class film industry through significant investment, workforce upskilling, and attracting more international film shoots.

Grech emphasized creating quality jobs for Maltese people by enhancing their skills to meet industry demands. Investing in state-of-the-art facilities and providing strong support to filmmakers are key components of his strategy.
