A massive fight broke out yesterday after Maccabi Haifa fans started throwing flares at Hamrun fans in Ta’ Qali’s Centenary Stadium.

As the game started getting more intense, the Maccabi fans started lighting flans and throwing them at the Hamrun fans, causing the match to be stopped in the first half.
When the game continued and flares continued to be thrown, Hamrun fans started throwing back water bottles leading the situation to get out of hand.

Local police officers were onsite to try and control the fight.
