To encourage smokers to quit smoking, the government has launched the ‘swap to stop’ initiative, which will provide free vape kits to up to one million people.

This “world-first” program aims to persuade around 20% of smokers in England to switch to vaping. Participants will receive not only the vape starter kit but also behavioral support to help them quit smoking and become healthier.

Additionally, pregnant women will be offered up to £400 to help them quit smoking. The program is part of the government’s goal to make the country smoke-free by 2030 by reducing the number of smokers to 5% or less of the population.
