TikTok’s CEO Does Not Let His Children Use The App

The CEO of TikTok admits that he does not allow his own kids to use the app.

In a viral TikTok with currently around 19 million views, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew said his eight- and six-year-old kids do not have TikTok accounts because they are too young for it. This is due to China not allowing people under the age of 13 to make use of the app, unlike western countries.

In an interview, he explained: “TikTok, here in the U.S., if you are below 13, you get a very restrictive version of TikTok, and in many other countries around the world, we don’t allow users who are below 13.”
What do you make of this?
