Mark Skage saved a baby moose wandering by herself on the side of the road after a spotting a bear nearby.

This happened while he was driving in Canada. After seeing the baby moose almost hit by several vehicles, he stopped to help her and she immediately tried getting inside his van.
Then he realised exactly why she was so persistent – a black bear was just around 50 yards away.

He eventually took the moose to a wildlife rehabilitation centre.
Despite the good deed, he explained that he had been fired for rescuing the animal because his actions clashed with their policy on animal welfare.
