10 Inch ‘Penis Fish’ Swarm Beach In Argentina

Locals in Argentina were taken by surprise when they stumbled upon a fascinating sight at a beach near Rio Grande 😅

These peculiar creatures, measuring about 10 inches in length and fleshy-colored, have earned their humorous nickname due to their striking resemblance to the human appendage. Typically inhabiting the sea floor, severe storms in the area caused the creatures, known scientifically as Urechis Unicinctus or spoon worms, to be uprooted and washed ashore near the beaches of Multillar, north of Rio Grande.

Photos of the fleshy marine life taken by Rio Grande residents are now being shared across social media.

While much larger than the average human counterpart they are associated with, they truly live up to their nickname, featuring a prominent shaft and a head complete with a noticeable hole at the top, which they cleverly utilize to feed on algae from the sea floor.

Amazed residents who stumbled upon the beach adorned with these meaty marine oddities have been sharing captivating pictures and videos, causing the phenomenon to go viral across various social media platforms. Although sightings of these creatures are rare, it’s not the first time severe storms have brought these typically concealed ‘penis fish’ into intriguing contact with curious humans.
