Recently, there have been circulating warning messages via chat about possible hacking of Bolt and Bolt Food apps. Other messages advised Wolt app users to delete their saved bank cards from the app. However, both Bolt and Wolt denied these claims.

A Bolt spokesperson stated that the company’s systems are not under attack, and considered the rumors as malicious. The spokesperson emphasized that Bolt doesn’t have access to anyone’s offline or online bank accounts and that the company has not received any claims of being hacked.

TVM News reported that a Wolt spokesperson assured them that the company immediately contacted its security team upon becoming aware of these claims. The team confirmed that there have been no breaches, and user data is safe. The spokesperson also stated that the messages are entirely fake.

As most of the circulating messages claimed that the information came from sources close to the police, TVMnews contacted the Malta Police Force, which denied any reports regarding possible hacking of the Bolt or Wolt apps. No other departments within the force have received any reports regarding this matter.
