The Average Salary In Malta Results To €1,785 Per Month

The average employee salary for the fourth quarter of 2022 was estimated to be €1,785 per month in Malta 

This was confirmed from the Labour Force Survey published by the National Statistics Office (NSO) which also showed that the total number of people working in Malta in the last three months of 2022 was 290,995, a 5.5% increase over the previous year. 
 
According to the NSO, the latest survey estimates show that 63.3% of the population aged 15 and over will be employed in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Unemployed people accounted for 8,732 (1.9%) of the total, while inactive people accounted for 159,622 (34.7%).
