Kids Draw On 230-Year-Old Statue At Museum

Children who were given crayons as part of a museum activity pack allegedly vandalized a 230-year-old statue, much to the dismay of the National Trust.

Disturbing photos reveal blue crayon scribbles all over the statue, depicting the Roman Naiade, Sabrina, including the face, limbs, and torso.

The incident has caused distress among the museum staff, who had to consult with conservators and outdoor managers to clean the statue and memorial. Fortunately, the crayon was removed without the need for costly specialist materials or external cleaners, according to a statement shared by the Museums Association.
