In a somber gathering of friends, schoolmates, and teachers, a heartfelt vigil was organized to honor the memory of 17-year-old Kacey Sciberras, who tragically lost her life in a devastating traffic accident over the weekend. The emotional tribute took place in the Green Area and Assembly Hall of the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta, where Kacey had been pursuing her studies.

The vigil drew a large student crowd from the Institute of Tourism Studies, who united in solidarity to pay their respects to the late Kacey Sciberras. Flowers and balloons were tenderly presented as symbols of remembrance, filling the atmosphere with a poignant sense of loss and grief.

The incident occurred when Kacey was riding as a passenger in a Chevrolet Aveo. Tragically, the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in severe damage to its front and rear as it collided with a wall and a pole. The heartbreaking accident took place on the Central Link Road in Attard during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Kacey was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. Two other individuals, a 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and are currently receiving medical care.
