Taurine, an amino acid that occurs naturally, is an ingredient found in the majority of energy drinks.
Researchers have been testing the effects of taurine on mice and have discovered that it may actually lengthen their lifespans.

Mice of both sexes had life expectancies that were around 10 to 12 percent longer, while life expectancies at 28 months were about 18 to 25 percent longer.
Additionally, their stomach, immune system, fat, pancreas, brain, and bone health were all improved.
