Jain typically spends 10 to 12 hours begging for money from strangers in Mumbai, India’s financial capital. On a normal day, he manages to collect around 2500 rupees which is equivalent to around $30, meaning that he gets around 75,000 rupees per month equivalent to $913.
With this money, Bharat Jain bought a two-bedroom flat and lets out two shops for rent – but he still continues to beg for money.
He also makes sure to give his children the education he didn’t have growing up by sending them to a convent school.
