National Statistics Office reports increased traffic accidents and casualties in Q4 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

Fatalities totaled 7, with reported accidents up 3.2% to 3,816. Road traffic casualties rose 0.5% to 381, with 84 people severely injured and 7 fatalities.
Passenger cars were involved in the most accidents (54.9%), followed by motorcycles (32%) and goods-carrying vehicles (7.3%).
Accidents between vehicles accounted for 67.5% of all road traffic casualties.
