Shrek’s Swamp Is Now Listed On Airbnb

If you’re a Shrek fan and dream of spending a night in the character’s famous swamp, your chance is finally here 🤪

Airbnb has successfully recreated Shrek’s iconic Swamp, and bookings will open next month, but you’ll need to act fast and be lucky.

Starting on October 13th at 1 p.m. ET, Shrek enthusiasts can request a stay at this enchanting moss-covered, murky-watered paradise located in the Scottish Highlands. Some fortunate guests will have the opportunity to enjoy two nights at Shrek’s residence.

Currently, the available booking dates are from October 27th to 29th, offering a one-time, two-night stay for up to three guests. The cost of booking Shrek’s Swamp is $0, with Airbnb announcing that they will make a charitable donation to HopScotch Children’s Charity.

Airbnb emphasizes that this is “not a contest,” and those fortunate enough to secure a stay will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

If you’re a Shrek enthusiast, you’ll be delighted to know that they’ve captured the essence of the swamp perfectly. From the house to the furnishings to the “BEWARE” signs, it feels like you’ve stepped right into the movie. Guests who secure a booking can relax in the swampy oasis, light an earwax candle, kick back in Shrek’s recliner chair, and savor some parfait. And don’t forget, you’re not confined to the house; you can venture outside, light a fire (maybe share some swamp tales), and even visit Shrek’s iconic outhouse. Oh, and Donkey is your host (apparently, he’s filling in for Shrek), and yes, there will be waffles.
