ERA just dropped new rules: releasing balloons or confetti in open-air public spaces is about to be a no-go in Malta🎈🚫
The regulations kick in within two months, balloons can still be part of celebrations, but only if they’re properly weighted so they don’t fly off into the environment. Plastic confetti is also on the way out: it’ll be banned from sale first, and after a six-month transition period, banned from use too.
ERA says it’s not about killing the fun but about stopping all that “pretty for 5 seconds” plastic from ending up in the sea and harming wildlife. Cleaner streets, safer oceans, better Malta 🌊🐢
