Our sexual habits have been revealed!

According to the first study of its kind in Malta, conducted by Sagalytics and Sex Clinic Malta, people living in the northern part of Malta tend to watch pornography more frequently than those in other regions. Meanwhile, residents of the southern harbour area, such as Valletta, the Three Cities, Fgura, Floriana, Luqa, Żabbar, Kalkara, Marsa, Paola, Santa Luċija, Tarxien, and Xgħajra, engage in sexual intercourse more frequently than others.

The study provides insight into various aspects of people’s sexual behavior and aims to reduce the stigma surrounding sexuality. Compared to international studies, 53% of respondents reported watching or having watched pornography, and a similar percentage reported occasionally masturbating alone. Among those who watch pornography and have a partner, a significant 74% revealed that their partner is aware of their porn-watching habits.

On average, sexually active individuals in Malta engage in sexual intercourse six times a month. However, those living in the southern harbour area engage in sexual intercourse approximately eight times a month, making them the most sexually active region in the country.
