Inside Out 2 is set to release on June 14, 2024, almost nine years after the original.

It is the 29th Pixar movie assuming no schedule changes. The movie follows an adolescent girl named Riley and her anthropomorphized emotions: Anger, Fear, Disgust, Sadness, and Joy, who guide her as she grows up.

nstead, the protagonist, Joy, must learn that suppressing “bad” emotions is unhealthy.

This nuanced take on emotions was universally praised and earned the film a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as nominations for Best Original Screenplay and a win for Best Animated Film at the 88th Academy Awards.
