Elderly Couples Books 51 Back-To-Back Cruises

These two have travelled more than any of us 😂

An elderly pair decided to embark on a unique journey by reserving 51 consecutive cruises when they discovered that this approach was more cost-effective than opting for a retirement facility.

Marty and Jess Ansen began their maritime adventure on June 16, 2022, and have spent a total of 450 days on board Princess Cruises’ Coral Princess, surpassing even the ship’s crew members, including the captains. This decision followed two years of stringent lockdowns in Australia, prompting them to opt for a perpetual vacation.

Marty explained, “Eventually, I told my agent, ‘Book whatever becomes available,’ and that’s how our cruise extended for such a lengthy duration.” Jess pointed out that they had always enjoyed cruising before retirement, and after considering a few more vacations, they realized it would be more practical to reside aboard the ship for two years instead of investing in a care facility. “It’s our chosen lifestyle,” she emphasized, highlighting their constant engagement in activities like dancing and exploring new cities. Additionally, they don’t have to concern themselves with cabin upkeep, as they have a dedicated maid to handle those tasks.
