At 77 years old, Donald Trump, the first former US president ever to pose for a mugshot, faced a slew of charges connected to the 2020 US Election.

Upon his arrival in Fulton County, Georgia, for formal processing on August 24th, Trump found himself accused of breaching Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced And Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. Additionally, he faced six conspiracy charges linked to alleged attempts involving forgery, impersonation of a public official, and the submission of false statements and documents. Following the mugshot session, Trump was granted release on a $200,000 bond, and he promptly made his way back to the airport, bound for his New Jersey residence.

Coinciding with the mugshot’s public debut, Trump cheekily reappeared on Twitter (X) on the very same day. He shared the image along with the phrase ‘Election interference. Never surrender!’ and included a weblink to his website. This link directed users to a fundraising page.
