Well done to our Armed Forces and Civil Protection Department!

The Armed Forces of Malta and the Civil Protection Department are collaborating to provide assistance to Libya following extensive flooding caused by Storm Daniel.

Malta will deploy a group of 73 officers and officials to support ongoing search and rescue efforts in Libya, in addition to offering any necessary assistance.

The team comprises 12 members from the Armed Forces of Malta, including a medical unit, as well as 31 personnel from the Civil Protection Department.

This Maltese delegation departed from our nation a few hours ago aboard the AFM vessel, P61, accompanied by an additional 30 soldiers.

Minister for Home Affairs, Security, Reforms, and Equality Byron Camilleri highlighted that this marks the third instance in recent months when Malta has extended foreign aid to another nation.
