Zibel collects another tonne of waste from Malta’s seabed

Zibel strikes again, together with Raniero’s Adventures and No To Plastic Malta. Following another beach clean-up, they collectively gather 1.4 tonnes of waste, which is around 1450 kg, from Fekruna Bay in Xemxija.

When broken down, they collected:

Recyclable Ocean Plastic 2.95 kg
Recyclable Ocean Plastic Bottles 89 kg
Glass 15.5 kg
Metal 31.04 kg
General 304.27 kg
Tyres 426.36 kg
Fishing Gear 172.1 kg
Batteries 23.38 kg
Bulky Waste 395.74 kg
Bottle Caps 0.5 kg

Their team of 50+ divers, snorkels and coastal volunteer did an amazing job and clearing up the premises.

All waste will be recycled by TerraCycle.
