You’ll Soon Be Able To Listen To Spotify On Facebook As The Two Companies Expand Their Partnership

As of next Monday, Facebook will team up with Spotify to enable in-app music listening in 27 markets. That’s right, the social media giant is expanding its partnership with Spotify to create a new service that allows you to listen to full songs whilst scrolling on Facebook!

However, only paying Spotify subscribers will be able to listen to audio content, which includes anything from music tracks to podcasts.

For paying subscribers, a mini player will be introduced on Facebook, which allows you to keep scrolling within the app, whilst listening in to your favourite tunes.

Back in 2019, the two companies made a deal to enable music snippers from Spotify to be posted on Facebook Stories, so Facebook called this upcoming move a ‘natural next step’.

This news comes a week after Facebook revealed that it was adding podcasts and ‘live audio rooms’, as it faces competition with the latest audio-based app, Clubhouse.
