#YouAreIncluded – Allied Rainbow Communities Launches Malta Pride Week 2021

The Allied Rainbow Communities and their yearly Malta Pride Week are back and better than ever!

Although the Pride March was cancelled due to the risk of spread, the organisers – alongside other entities – have come together to put up a packed programme of events that celebrate inclusion and diversity, whilst highlighting issues that are relevant to the community and providing opportunities for connecting once again.

This comes after the ongoing pandemic left a negative impact on several minority groups. However, thanks to ARC and other related NGOs, many individuals facing homelessness, low incomes, lack of HIV medication availability, and social isolation were provided support.

This year’s theme for Pride Week will be #YouAreIncluded, reminding us that equality is not a one-size-fits-all phenomenon. Whilst many achievements have already been made by the LGBTIQ movement, there are still members whose identities and experiences are not understood, seen, or validated.
