When will Disney+ be available in Malta?

Officially launched on November 12th in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands, Disney+ is the new video on-demand streaming service that looks set to take the world by storm.

At a very reasonable 7 dollars/euro per month and 70 dollars/euro for a year, it could become a huge competitor to other streaming services, such as Netflix.

On its first day, it received 10 million subscriptions and has since been expanded to Australia, New Zealand and Puerto Rico.

It launched with over 500 movies and 7,500 TV episodes. The impressive list of shows available includes all the Disney classics, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and The Simpsons.

You’ll also find some original films and episodes such as a High School Musical series and there’s also a confirmed upcoming Lizzie Mcguire reboot.

If you have some (or rather, a lot of) time on your hands, Disney released this video with all the nostalgia-inducing and awesome things you can watch on Disney+

However, you’re going to have to wait until you’re able to watch all this.

The official release date for Disney+ across Western Europe is the 31st of March and whilst Malta hasn’t been mentioned in the list of definite European territories where the streaming service will start being offered, we’re keeping our fingers crossed they don’t forget about our little island.

Let’s be honest though… nothing really beats watching Disney on the big screen. Head down to the Eden Cinemas to catch one of the biggest animated films of the year, Frozen 2!
