We’ve ALWAYS loved to be beside Malta’s seaside

Summer in Malta means lots of sun, sea and sand.

And it appears it has always been that way, as these nostalgic pictures from the award-winning Bay Retro archives show Malta’s love of the beach.

The striking images features sun worshippers playing by the shore from the early 1900s right through to the 1980s.

It seems everyone enjoys the simple pleasures of sitting on the beach, building sandcastles and going for a paddle in the Mediterranean Sea.

The pictures remind us not only of how much has changed, but how much has also remained the same.
