bBrave is a voluntary and independent NGO and it is in fact the first anti-bullying NGO in Malta. Through the help of their members and sponsors, bBrave is constantly working on educating and raising awareness about bullying, and its effects.
In line with this, bBrave have this year organised Malta’s National Anti-Bullying Week with the theme ‘United Against Bullying.’
“We are thrilled to announce that bBrave is partnering with the Malta Football Association (MFA). As part of its initiatives in football social responsibility, the MFA is seeking to create awareness and provide sessions on anti-bullying in football clubs and football communities in Malta and Gozo over the next few years,” bBrave told Bay.
Moreover, bBrave have also launched a new App, available on Google Play. Developed in collaboration with the University of Malta Department of Computer Science, the app contains general information, useful articles, games and an I NEED HELP section. The games within the app seek to convey the anti-bullying message in a fun way.
In the same way, bBrave have also launched an anti-bullying comic, which comes after the NGO teamed up with Fabio Agius, the co-founder of Malta Comic-Con, to create a comic story reflecting a bullying scenario within schools.
“The comic embraces this year’s theme of unity to show how each individual can affect the wellbeing of their peers,” bBrave told us!
Another interesting and quite useful service which is being provided by the NGO is the Free Counselling Service, which is led by Trainee counsellors from University’s Faculty of Social Wellbeing, and being offered in collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta.
