Bors Johnson’s comment has resulted in a lot of restaurants creating monstrous plates and naming it after him, and has jolted a lot of gym campaigns telling the Maltese population to “prove Boris wrong”.
Boris Johnson, who, no disrespect, is not exactly the poster child of ideal weight himself, said that if people living in the UK do not adapt to a healthier lifestyle, they will end up overtaking Malta as having the highest incidence of obesity in Europe.
“We are significantly fatter than most others – apart from the Maltese for some reason,” the UK’s prime minister shares.
As it currently stands, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), Malta tops the obesity list in three different age groups – 11, 13 and 15-year-olds.
